About me
At Harmonious Homes and Gardens, my story begins on the farm.
My name is Margaret. I was born and raised on a farm and as I turned into my early twenties, I took over the tenanted farm. After 34 years of being on a farm, I made a life-changing decision in 2015 — to step back from the farm I'd worked so hard on and reconnect with nature in a different way, through gardening.
In 2021 I started a cleaning business alongside gardening too, and it was through these two passions that something became beautifully clear: farming, nature, the garden, and the home are all deeply connected.
Having seen first-hand the damage that agricultural chemicals can cause — including the impact on my own health through asthma — I became passionate about finding a better way. A more natural way.
This is why Harmonious Homes and Gardens exists today. As a solo business, every product I choose is selected with real care and personal conviction. I believe that by growing organic food in our gardens, we can teach our children where food really comes from. I believe that by choosing natural cleaning products, we protect our families' health and tread more lightly on the planet.
I believe small everyday choices — in our homes and our gardens — can help us all live in a better, healthier world.
